Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.

Catania is one of the most dynamic cities in eastern Sicily, overlooking the Ionian Sea and dominated by the imposing Mount Etna, which shapes its landscape and identity. The historic center, rebuilt in Baroque style after the 1693 earthquake and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, centers around Piazza del Duomo, home to the Cathedral of Sant'Agata and the Elephant Fountain, the city's symbol. From here, Via Etnea, the main commercial artery, begins, bustling with shops, bars, and spectacular views of the volcano. Among the main attractions are the Benedictine Monastery, one of the largest monastic complexes in Europe, the Ursino Castle, a medieval relic built from lava stone, and the Roman Theater. Also nearby is the Ognina and Riviera dei Ciclopi lava seafront, ideal for strolls and relaxing by the sea.

The property is located in a semi-central, residential area of ​​Catania, between the Corso Italia neighborhood and the Ognina area. Compared to the historic center (Piazza del Duomo and Via Etnea), it is slightly out of the way but still well-connected: the heart of the city can be reached in about 10–15 minutes by car or public transportation. At the same time, the location is highly appreciated for its proximity to the sea, reachable on foot or in just a few minutes, and for the presence of services, shops, supermarkets, bars, pizzerias (also available for takeout or delivery), and restaurants. It is therefore a balanced solution, quieter than the historic center but strategically located for both experiencing the city and enjoying the coast.

From Catania Train Station, the apartment can be reached in about 15 minutes by taking bus No. 421 and getting off at stop 1256, an 8-minute walk from the property.

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport, you can take a shuttle to the Central Station and continue as indicated above.

If you're traveling by car, the property doesn't have a parking space; parking is available (for a fee, including through the convenient EasyPark app available throughout Europe) nearby. Green mobility services are also available throughout the city: scooter, e-bike, and electric car sharing.
