Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 383/6.10.2022).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.

In the heart of the Sienese countryside is the beautiful village of Monteriggioni, locality Monteresi, a truly enchanted and unique place in the world. Located on top of a hill and surrounded by a circle of perfectly preserved circular walls, Monteriggioni is one of the places not to be missed during a tour of Tuscany. The old town, also called Castello, is very small but is extremely impressive. Visiting Monteriggioni you will find yourself immersed in a typical medieval atmosphere, so much so that several films have been shot here. In addition, every year in July there is the medieval festival, in which the streets and squares of the historic village is celebrated and commemorate the past centuries with dances in costume, shows and initiatives of various kinds.
The walls, made of stone, embrace the top of a hill; the walk along the walls of Monteriggioni offers beautiful views, both over the village and the Sienese countryside.
Do not miss Porta Franca, or Porta Romea and Porta Fiorentina, or San Giovanni, are the two main gates to the village. They are located at the two ends of the center, and are connected by Via I Maggio, which cuts across Monteriggioni from east to west. From the Porta Fiorentina you can admire a beautiful view of the Sienese hills, and it is also much less used than the Porta Romea.

- Florence Santa Maria Novella station is 64.8 km from the accommodation, you can take the bus "131R Siena-Via Tozzi" and then continue with the bus "0S4 Fornacelle Pino" to the stop Fornacelle, 12 minutes on foot from the apartment.
